Google maps street view is coming to India. in Mumbai, Noida, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and other cities google vehicles are started collecting photographs for Google maps street view for India. Already these technology is available for us and 27 other countries.

 After starting 4 years latter street view technology finally came to India.

Google Maps with Street View lets you explore places around the world through 360-degree street-level imagery. You can check out restaurants, visit neighborhoods, or plan your next trip.

To make this project Google is using Tri-cycle and Chevrolet captive for collecting images. car has 15 lenses taking 360 degrees of photos. It also has motion sensors to track its position, a hard drive to store data, a small computer running the system, and lasers to capture 3D data to determine distances within the Street View imagery.
